A Bit About La Natura Fine Foods

In the autum of 2007, Toronto-bred Foodies “Papa” Joe Lombardi and Vikas (Vik) Sharma started sharing their home-made recipes for what would become La Natura Fine Foods.

Within two months, the products that they conceived were being sampled out of a brand new fine food market (Marcket Fine Foods) near Forest Hill in Toronto. The product sold so well during that Christmas season that they took it to the next level and started shopping the product around to other fine food markets in the city and in Ottawa.

Word spread quickly, and La Natura became available at such well known markets as Pusateri Fruit Market (Church and Wellesley Village) Pantry: Toronto's Kitchen Cupboard (Little Italy/Portugal), Nicastro's (Bank Street, Ottawa) and Culinarium (Mount Pleasant).

La Natura continues to create food that is all natural, home-made (always made in small batches) and entices the senses to be awakened.

Today, Vikas continues to drive La Natura - with a team of producers and samplers, bringing the product from the kitchen to you in our markets.

2009 has brought La Natura into many more locations in Ottawa, Mont Tremblant and Toronto ... be sure to review our Locations page for details.

In selecting a location to work with, our strategy is to secure a single footprint in each of the "foodie" neighbourhoods.

We pride ourselves in exclusivity - only one fine food shop in each community carries La Natura Fine Foods - building our reputation through word of mouth and wonderful tasting sessions.

With the re-newal of our brand in 2009, thanks to you Nhu and John at Yukoju Corporation, La Natura has acquired a new look (check out new labels in the store) and is well-poised to move forward as a well-respected Fine Food brand in Canada.
